J'accuse Personality of the Year Poll

If your preferred personality does not feature in this poll please leave a comment in the comment box. I leave you with a point to ponder: The Times headline this morning is “Franco Debono says he will not topple government”. Do you find that reassuring or worrying? Consider this… would you ever read the following headline: “Jacques RenĂ© Zammit says he will not lift a two ton truck”?

Still feeeling worried/reassured?

How sweet, another happy ending….. they forgot the “and that’s all folks!”

They should end this tale with a big celebration in Piazza St George Pullicino.

Question is, how much of this story was scripted?

Back to the real issues now ?

@MB

Agreed. This story should not be over until Debono explains what the “point of principle” he was acting on was.

As to toppling the government … if only. The Nationalists stand a chance of pulling it off in 2013 that’s only slightly higher than than what it would be in 2009-10. The only difference that, with Nationalist voters being aware of why they’re heading to the polls early, the “dissident MPs” will soon become something of the past.

@Jacques

I never really understood the criteria your “Personality of the Year Award”. Is it a question of (appropriately numbered list):

(a) hogging the media limelight;

(b) making a right royal fool of oneself;

(c) being a right royal nuisance; or

(d) acting like a good goody two shoes … even when the country would rather go barefoot.

I’m also not sure if it is limited to Maltese nationals/residents or if it can be awarded post-humously.

If the latter rule were relaxed I’d include Jesus Crucified (who two millenia later still gets people tied in knots … when they don’t have to) and Edward Barry whose carbuncle achieved immortality on being (thankfully) destroyed.

Hmm .. looks like the poll is sulking and is currently hiding underneath the side bar on the right – Jacques, looks like your blog misbehaves a little when being used with Chrome … or is it something on your end?

joseph hands down … insists on bringing the house down with his superlative performances…a pity that we remain so unaware of calleja’s major achievements even as i write…
